Project Rhitsona Excavation 1907-1909
Scope and Content Part of a group of images from the British School at Athens excavations at Rhitsona in Boeotia in 1907 and 1908. The image shows two vases from Rhitsona in Boeotia, marked A and B on the negative, presumably for publication. The original description in the SPHS negative register reads: "Rhitsona vases. (BSA. XIV.pl.8)" Listed as a Colour Slide in the SPHS negative register (A series), but the negative is black and white.
Notes Date based on the excavation of Rhitsona (ancient Mycalessus) and its publication. The A series of negatives were created for colour slides produced from a colour drawings by 1913. However, the extant negatives marked in the A series are black and white. Marked as A 25a.
