Scope and Content Part of a collection of images of the BSA's 1920s excavations at Mycenae. The original description in the SPHS negative register reads: "Mycenae: Tombs 518 & 529, daggers and blades". Recorded in the register as from the 1922 season.
Notes Date is the year listed in the description of the image in the SPHS register. Pencilled on the drawing is the caption: "A-C Tomb 518" and "I-H Tomb 529". From left to right the items are marked as A (knife - front and side views), B (dagger - front and side views), D (knife - front and side view), H (fragment of hilt - far right top) and C (tweezers - far right bottom), F, F, C (bottom left). The illustration in Wace 1932 shows a watercolour illustration with the addition of a spearhead from the acropolis below. The drawing on opposite page shows numbers - left to right corresponding to the letters on the drawing: 50, 49, 25, 27, 28, 26 (two identical items) and 51.
