Scope and Content The original description in the SPHS register reads: "View". A strip of white tape was placed over the inked caption and the new caption ("View") written over, not specifying the location or source.
Notes Unknown date of the photograph, but prior to Hasluck's death in 1920. The drawing is by William Purser (1785-1856), an English artist and architect who studied at the Royal Academy Schools. Between 1817-20 he travelled around Italy and Greece with George Ledwell Taylor and architect John Sanders, acting as draughtsman. Published in Greece: Pictorial, Descriptive & Historical by Christopher Wordsworth, 1839. London : William S. Orr and Co. opposite page 98. The engraving of the drawing was done by J. Wood.
