Project Hasluck Asia Minor Travels
Scope and Content Part of a collection of images of Woodward's travels with Ormerod to SW Asia Minor in 1910 (BSA 16: 76-136; 295). The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Pisidian prehistoric figurines".
Notes Dates to 1909 when the figurines were published, acquired by Woodward and Hasluck the year before when they were travelling in Antalya and later published by Peet the same year. The figurine drew Woodward's and Ormerod's attention to this area of SW Asia Minor (see BSA (1909/1910) 16: 76-136). Also see a description of the sites visited in BSA 16: 295. Woodward and Ormerod (p. 105 in BSA 16) indicated that these two terracotta figurines were purchased in Adaila (Antalya), but were said to come from a mound at Kutcherdiler-yaila (Tchai-kenar), about twelve hours to the north-west of Adalia.
