Scope and Content Part of a collection of images of the BSA's 1920s excavations at Mycenae. The original description in the SPHS negative register reads: "Mycenae: gems of snake goddesses, with double axe, between lions". Recorded in the register as from the 1921 season.
Notes Date is the year listed in the description of the image in the SPHS register. See pl. XXVIII (top) Wace 1932 (Chamber tombs at Mycenae, vol. 82 of Archaeologia) for a drawing of the sealstones, including profiles. Number 31 (left in this image) and 32 (right).
