Scope and Content Relief marble closure slabs. Now in Byzantine Museum Athens. This is a preliminary drawing. It is annotated in pencil. See also drawing no BRF 01/01/01/241
Further information The slabs are decorated with relief motives depicting a bird in a medallion, rosettes, other floral and geometrical motives, parts of interlace friezes. They could be dated to the middle Byzantine period. Some the slabs might come from middle-Byzantine churches or monasteries of Attica.
