Further information The slab on the left depicts a leafy cross with rosettes standing on a stepped crepidome under an archivolt. The subject is a symbolic representation of the victory over death. It could be dated to the middle Byzantine period (10th-11th c.)
The slab in the middle is decorated with a laurel garland with an inscribed cross and ivy leaves, symbols of the victory over death which appear also as common themes in the decoration of early-christian sarcophagi. It has been assigned a date to the 5th c.
The slab on the right depicts a leafy cross with rosettes standing on a stepped crepidome under an archivolt. It could be dated to the middle Byzantine period (10th-11th c.)
