Scope and Content The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Syracuse cathedral: formerly temple of Artemis".
Notes Latest date is based on the publication of the image in the 1904 JHS slide catalogue. The image is taken from a commercial photograph or a postcard with a caption in Italian: "SIRACUSA - Colonne del Templo di Minerva - Cathedrale". Possibly from either the firm of Fratelli Alinari or possibly that of Edizioni Brogi.
