Scope and Content The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Athens: Propylaea. West front (E.S. enlargement No.1)".
Notes The date is based on R. Elsey Smith's residence in the BSA 1887-1888 (BSA Annual Report 1889-90, p. 25). A paper label appears with the number 18 in the upper left corner of the slide. It does appear as slide 26A (a later addition) to S. Casson's lecture on Ancient Athens.
