Scope and Content The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Athens: Acropolis Temple of Nike Apteros from E".
Notes A commercial image from the English Photographic Company. Unknown date, but based on numerous images from the English Photographic Company donated via Shirley Atchley catalogued from SPHS 8943 to 9256 appearing in the 1913 slide catalogue in the Journal of Hellenic Studies, it probably dates no later than 1913, but is likely to be much earlier. Certainly no later than 1917. Possibly used for the basis of a lithograph in Delbes-Broughton, 1896. Hand Book to the Antiquities of Athens (fig. III, opposite p. 5). The image appears in the SPHS Slide Set by D.S. Robertson, ca. 1924. Ancient Architecture, slide number 7.
