Reference No. 1936/2/2/57/1
Level Sub-item
Dimensions 43.2 x 24.9 cm
Scope and Content The original description in the catalogue reads: "The sandal. The curious sinkings probably represent the openings in the sandal for its straps. The relief may commemorate the cure of a foot disease. But, since is it the sandal, not the foot, that is represented, it may record an escape from snake-bite by the thickness of the sandal. (G.P. Byzantinos)."
