| Scope and Content | BRF 01/01/14/090. Ink illustration showing two arches with decoration. "Mistra: Church of St Demetrius" is written in pencil in the upper left corner, and "No 8" in the upper right. A scale bar is incorporated into the border. Below right of each arch is an upside-down Byzantine Research Fund copyright stamp; the rightmost has the original archive number written in. The original description in the catalogue reads: "The Church of St. Demetrios (The Metropolis). - This church was built in 1310 as a basilica, but in deference to local fashion Pantanassa). The basilica is clearly based on earlier models. 489. Details of iconostasis." |
