| Scope and Content | BRF 01/01/15/008. Ink illustration of the plan of a church, including some details of flooring, titled to the lower right "A plan of the church." "Messenia Samari" is written in pencil in the top left corner, "No 1" in the top right. To the lower left of the illustration are two scale bars, one in feet and one in metres. In the lower right corner is a Byzantine Research Fund copyright stamp with the original archive number written in. The original description in the catalogue reads: "The church of the Zoodokos Pegé. - It seems to be dated in the 11th century, probably near the end. The drawings are the work of R. S. Weir and S. H. Barnsley. 507. Plan of the church." |
