Scope and Content Consists of 5 pages with prints of photographs stuck onto them, labelled in [Hilda Pendlebury’s handwriting]. Contains 5 photographs, 4 of which are later prints of photographs in a photograph album PEN 7/2/4. The 5th seems to be a later print of a photograph which is missing from this same album.
Notes This relates to PEN 2/4/3 (Hilda Pendlebury’s writing about travels in Crete) and was [originally intended to illustrate PEN 2/4/3/5]. The photograph of “Eleutherna: the causeway” seems to be a later print of a photograph which would have originally been between PEN 7/2/4/218 and 219. The photograph of “The Byzantine Tower” is a later print of of PEN 7/2/4/220. The photograph of “Monastery of Arkadi” is a later print of PEN 7/2/4/228. The photograph of “Preveli Gorge” is a later print of PEN 7/2/4/233. The photograph of “Monastery of Hagios Ioannis, Preveli” is a later print of PEN 7/2/4/234. Negatives of these prints are in PEN 7/3/7/2.
