A second postmark, less clear and upside down, reads 'CAMBRIDGE * 11 JY 39 4'. This second postmark also appears on the reverse

The reverse is annotated by Edith Eccles: 'This is certainly later than the others though, like them, it come from the lower cave + is still handmade. In the upper (stratified) cave, only string [?] holes occur in the lowest strata where the burnished wares similar to those of the lower cave come.'
