Notes | Date attributed to the year in which Hogarth, Yorke and others to explore the Euphrates - see A Wandering Scholar in the Levant 1896 and Yorke in 1896 Geographical Journal 8(5): 453-472. SPHS Register lists both Hogarth and Munro as donors, but the photograph is attributed to Yorke in Hogarth's 1896 book. This image appears in the SPHS Slide Set by D.G. Hogarth (ca. 1923) Alexander the Great, slide number 29. |
