Further information | Tokat is a province of modern Turkey close to the Black Sea. Noteworthy are the fortifications on the flat top of the hill that dominates Tokat valley. The citable built of polygonal masonry manifests several phases of construction spanning from the Hellenistic to the Justinian and the middle-Byzantine period. |
