| Notes | Latest date based on the listing in the first SPHS catalogue of the image collection in JHS for 1897, possibly identified as catalogue number Ac 42. A note in 1899 ( p. xxxv in 'Proceedings of the Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies. Session 1898-99' The Journal of Hellenic Studies, Vol. 19 (1899), pp. xxxiii-xliv) mentions Miss Jane Harrison's negatives added to the collection. Partial paper label is still affixed: "89 Dionysos' chai[r]" and written on the negative is the number 46.The image is a commercial one from the English Photographic Company, but donated to the SPHS by Miss Harrison. |
