| Notes | A commercial image from the English Photographic Company. Unknown date, but must date prior to 1902 when the lion monument was re-assembled Note: numerous images from the English Photographic Company donated via Shirley Atchley catalogued from SPHS 8943 to 9256 appear in the 1913 slide catalogue in the Journal of Hellenic Studies which is probably the time when the negatives were accessioned into the collection. However, the related record SPHS 3928 shows a close-up of the lion head based on this photograph and dates to no later than 1902. |
