| Notes | A commercial image from the English Photographic Company. Date based on numerous images from the English Photographic Company donated via Shirley Atchley catalogued from SPHS 8943 to 9256 appearing in the 1913 slide catalogue in the Journal of Hellenic Studies, it probably dates no later than 1913, but is likely to be much earlier. SPHS Lectures & Slide Sets: The image appears in A.J. Toynbee, ca. 1924. Greek Life and the Greek Environment [later changed to The Geography of Greece], slide number 44 2 and (no author), ca. 1932. The Greek Church, slide number 17. |
