Notes | Latest date of image is based on its possible inclusion in the 1897 slide catalogue. The image on the negative is smaller than BSA SPHS 01/1339.3411.1 (marked originally as 3411a) from which it was duplicated. The image on this negative measures 3 x 2.5cm, so may have been created for a smaller format, possibly a 35mm slide. The negative is marked as 3411b. This is the same photograph as BSA SPHS 01/4344.8956, an English Photographic Company image. Note that the number in the left foreground is 1842 which is scratched out in BSA SPHS 01/1339.3411.1. The image appears in SPHS Slide Set by J. Penoyre (ca. 1926) Ancient Greek Life, slide number 12. |
