Scope and Content The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Olympia: Panorama 1".
Notes Published in the first SPHS catalogue of the image collection in JHS for 1897, identified as catalogue number Db 12. Date of the image, therefore, must date prior to 1897. The JHS 1904 catalogue groups SPHS 3501, 3502 and 3503. Along the bottom (left to right) are identifications of places: New Hotel on left back, Museum in the centre back, Palaestra (the foundation with the ... columns) in the centre middle. A not along the bottom reads: "The Cladeus flows between the Museum [...] the Palaestra. The image appears in the SPHS Slide Set by B.I. and I.A. Lawrence (ca. 1933) The Expedition of Cyrus & Xenophon's Anabasis, slide number 50.
