Scope and Content Part of the collection of images from the 1936 Exhibition of Minoan Civilization and the first 50 years work of the BSA at Burlington House, London. The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Young acrobat on galloping bull, bronze (Spencer-Churchill collection)".
Notes Date is the year listed in the description of the image in the SPHS register. The image was created in the gallery space of the 1936 Exhibition of Minoan Civilization and the first 50 years work of the BSA at Burlington House in London. Printed on the negative: "Bronze group of youthful acrobat on galloping bull. Lent by Captain E. G. Spencer-Churchill". See BSA SPHS 01/6827.C6836 for this object and BSA SPHS 01/6793.C6802 (ivory boy-god) placed together in the gallery space.

The object is now in the British Museum, London; Museum number 1966,0328.1. It was bought in 1921 by Capt. Spencer-Churchill, a noted collector of bronzes whose collection was dispersed after his death in 1964. The British Museum acquired it in 1966 (Registration number 1966,0328.1), purchased from the executors of Spencer-Churchill.
