Latest date based on images from E.A. Gardner used in the article by Baker-Penoyre, John ff. 1902. 'Pheneus and the Pheneatiké' JHS 22: 228-240. However, may be as early as 1893 when Gardner explored Arcadia during one of the spring seasons of the Megalopolis excavation (see BSA Director's report for 1892-93). |
