Project Melos Campaign 1896-1899
Scope and Content Part of a group of images from explorations and excavations on the island of Melos conducted by the British School at Athens from 1896 to 1899. The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Melos:obsidian in situ".
Notes Image probably taken around the time of the Phylakopi excavations 1896-1899 by J.L. Myres as it matches the image in his collection held by the Institute of Archaeology at Oxford University, also with the negative number 2223, so it is possible that the image was taken by him.
