Scope and Content | The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Cnossos: Throne room: from antechamber (B.S.A. VI fig. 8)". |
Notes | Date based on the unroofed throne room. The citation to the first Knossos excavation report (BSA VI fig. 8) in the negative register caption doeis not show the same photograph. The photographer may have been J.L. Myres as it appears as negative number 3815 in the J.L. Myres negative register held by the archives at the Institute of Archaeology, Oxford University. Register reads: "Throne Room from Ante Chamber (MR 1901 p. 123 fig. 5; BSA VI fig. 8)". The number printed on the photograph (173) which also appears in the Myres negative register caption corresponds to numbers on photographs of Knossos in Evans' archive in Oxford. |
