Scope and Content | Part of a set of images from Hogarth's travel to Cyrene in 1904 as described in his 1910 book, Accidents of an Antiquary's Life. The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Cyrenaica: Cyrene, N. W.tower". |
Notes | Date attributed to Hogarth's Cyrene visit in 1904, described in his book, Accidents of an Antiquary's Life (1910). Numbers were printed on the set of negatives Hogarth donated from his trip to the Cyrenaica. The number 737 is printed on the negative. This image appears in the SPHS Slide Set by A.J. Toynbee (ca. 1924) Greek Life and the Greek Environment [later changed to The Geography of Greece], slide number 11. |
