Earliest date is based on Tillyard's first known visit to the Monastery of Grottaferrata. Latest date based on the donation of the image to the SPHS collection in 1926. The MS depicted is probably from the Abbey of Santa Maria di Grottaferrata library which has an extensive collection of Byzantine music. |
