Thanking Herbert for sending notes, and asking him to send more; sending measurements for Dickie [Mabel Dickinson] for [a costume]; telling Herbert that he was running [in the hurdles] at Oxford in a Varsity competition on 9 June, that he had been out for tea with [Arthur] Cook who he found was a cousin of Mr Bickersteth [John’s headmaster from St George’s school], and about his preparation for exams [in Tripos I]. |
