Halos Tumuli |
| Dates | 1912 |
| Donor/Creator |
Wace, Mr Alan John Bayard |
| Project | Halos Excavation 1912 |
| Scope and Content | Part of a collection of images from Wace and Thompson's excavations at Halos/Halmyro 1912. The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Halmyro: Thessaly. pattern on trefoil lipped jug". |
| Notes | Date based on excavation of Halos/Halmyro by Wace and Thompson. The description in the negative register does not match that from Wace and Thompson's publication. It is more likely to be the design from a plate, not a trefoil lipped jug. The image is duplicated in slide format in the Ashmolean Lantern Slide Teaching Collection, Oxford University, catalogue number XL130 as "Halos: vases, bowls". |
