| Notes | Date attributed to Hogarth's Cyrene visit in 1904, described in his book, Accidents of an Antiquary's Life (1910). Numbers were printed on the set of negatives Hogarth donated from his trip to the Cyrenaica. The number 737 is printed on the negative. This image appears in the SPHS Slide Set by A.J. Toynbee (ca. 1924) Greek Life and the Greek Environment [later changed to The Geography of Greece], slide number 11. |
