Notes | Date based on the excavations at Kynosarges discussed in Smith, C. 1895/1896 ("Annual Meeting of Subscribers, July 13th 1896" BSA 2: 1-27) on p. 24. Discussion of the column in Rodeck, Pieter 1896/1897, "The Ionic Capital of the Gymnasium of Kyosarges" BSA 3: 89-105. The 1910 SPHS slide catalogue attributes this to the Theatre of Dionysus while all other sources indicate it is from the Kynosarges site. |
