Scope and Content | Part of a group of images from explorations and excavations on the island of Melos conducted by the British School at Athens from 1896 to 1899. The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Phylakopi pottery: impress of plaited rush mats on which early pots built up". |
Notes | The dates are based on the excavation seasons at Phylakopi, although it must date prior to 1904 when it appears in the site publication.
