Scope and Content Part of the collection of images from the 1936 Exhibition of Minoan Civilization and the first 50 years work of the BSA at Burlington House, London. The object is from the 1930-39 excavations of the British School at Athens at Perachora, Corinthia. The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Bronze statuette of Herakles (ca. 500 BC), from Perachora".
Notes Earliest date base on the first season of excavation (see C 6321).1936 is the date listed in the description of the image in the SPHS register when the image was created from older negatives with its caption for the 1936 Exhibition of Minoan Civilization and the first 50 years work of the BSA at Burlington House in London. Typewritten caption on the index card reads: "Bronze statuette of Herakles (ca. 500 B.C.) from the School's excavations at Perachora". This object has been reproduced for the exhibition with the addition of a caption from C 6321 (see related record).
