Baker-Penoyre during his visit in 1907 to map areas of archaeological interest, particularly the site of Limena, and to conduct investigations of ancient architecture. The original description of the image in the SPHS register reads: "Thasos: Alyki, marble quarries on point, hole for attachment of marble boats". |
