Notes | Latest date of image is based on its possible inclusion in the 1897 slide catalogue. The negative is marked as 3411a and is duplicated as BSA SPHS 01/3619.3411.2 (originally marked as 3411b), possibly for the production of a smaller format slide. This is the same photograph as BSA SPHS 01/4344.8956, an English Photographic Company image. Note that there is a scratched out four digit number (1842?) in the left foreground along with the number 41. The image appears in SPHS Slide Set by J. Penoyre (ca. 1926) Ancient Greek Life, slide number 12. |
