| Notes | A commercial image from the English Photographic Company. Published in vol. 1 of the Gardner's Handbook of Greek Sculpture. Date of the image, therefore, must date prior to 1896. Note: numerous other images from the English Photographic Company were donated via Shirley Atchley catalogued from SPHS 3401 to 3407; 3421 to 3439 appeared in the 1897 slide catalogue in the Journal of Hellenic Studies. Printed at bottom of the image: "Athens National Museum No. 1 Statue of Artemis from Delos. 9201 English Photo C[o.]." |
