Scope and Content | The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Bassae: Temple from S.E. angle". |
Notes | A commercial image from the English Photographic Company. The entry has been struck out in the SPHS register, presumably deaccessioned. Date based on comparison with Shirley Atchley's negative BSA SPHS 01/5984.C1778 which may be the same image. SPHS C 1778 is dated in the negative register caption as dating to 1893. It is likely that this view was photographed by Atchley who was one of the partners of the English Photographic Company. |
