Notes | Part of a group of over 1,000 photographs donated by Mr. Shirley C. Atchley in 1921 (JHS 1922).Therefore, if the specific date is not listed in the register, the images cannot have been produced later than 1921. This is the same photograph as BSA SPHS 01/4367.8986 which is a commercial English Photographic Company image donated to the SPHS and dates no later than 1911 when it appeared in Stobart's The Glory that was Greece: A Survey of Hellenic Culture and Civilisation. Atchley was a partner and photographer for the English Photographic Company. |
