Notes | Date based on the excavation of Throne Room at Knossos (pers. comm. V. Fotou 2019). The number printed on the photograph (265) corresponds to numbers on photographs of Knossos in Evans' archive in Oxford. It was not photographed by Burrows, but may have been taken by J.L. Myres. (see photo A. Brown 1983. Arthur Evans and the Palace of Minos p. 36 , fig. 14 which shows the front cover of The Cretan Exploration Fund for 1900 with this image on the cover). |
