Scope and Content | The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Cnossos: Jug with conecting rings". |
Notes | Date based on the first year of excavation at Knossos when Myres was present. The initials JLM is written on the negative indicating that the photograph may have been taken by Myres. Number 77, crossed out, is written above the print may relate to numbers in the Evans archive in the Ashmolean, Oxford. It also appears as negative number 3845 in the J.L. Myres negative register held by the archives at the Institute of Archaeology, Oxford University. Register reads: "Vase of veined marble". Other Collections: The image is duplicated in slide format in the Ashmolean Lantern Slide Teaching Collection, Oxford University, catalogue number XJ45 and XJ46 (duplicate slides) as "Knossos: vase, veined marble, vertical circles". |
