Scope and Content | The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Cnossos: view of magazine with pithoi & floor cists". |
Notes | Date based on the first year of excavation at Knossos when Myres was present. The initials JLM is written on the negative indicating that the photograph may have been taken by Myres. Number 171, crossed out, is written above the print may relate to numbers in the Evans archive in the Ashmolean, Oxford. It also appears as negative number 3846 in the J.L. Myres negative register held by the archives at the Institute of Archaeology, Oxford University. Register reads: "Magazine in W. wing (shewing cassels)". |
