Notes | Earliest date based on the first season of excavation at Knossos and the latest date on the publication of the image in the 1904 slide catalogue. Number 573, crossed out, is written on the print may relate to numbers in the Evans archive in the Ashmolean, Oxford. It also appears as negative number 3899 in the J.L. Myres negative register held by the archives at the Institute of Archaeology, Oxford University. Register reads: "Knossos: S.W. Entrance fr. W. court". |
