Notes | Date based on the first year of excavation at Knossos when Myres was present. Also prior to any reconstruction, the first phase done in 1901 (pers. comm. V. Fotou 2019). The photographer may have been J.L. Myres as it appears as negative number 5238 in the J.L. Myres negative register held by the archives at the Institute of Archaeology, Oxford University. Register reads: "Knossos: Throne-room fr. right front of throne 276". The number printed on the photograph and the same number (276) in the Myres negative register caption corresponds to numbers on photographs of Knossos in Evans archive in Oxford. |
