Scope and Content | The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Cnossos: Hall of double axes &c. from tower". |
Notes | Dates between 1902 and 1904 based on the state of the reconstructions (pers. comm. V. Fotou 2019). The photograph was taken by G. Maraghiannis for Evans. It appears in his 1915 publication with the following description: "Autre vue, à vol d'oiseau, du 'Quartier Domestique'; la 'Salle des Colonnades' au premier plan, à gauche. Le petit escalier descend au 'Mégaron de la Reine'. Plus loin, la 'Salle des Doubles Haches', avec se portiques de piliers. A droit, deux bases de colonnes indiquent la cour intérieure attenant au 'Mégaron de la Reine'."
