Scope and Content | Part of a group of images from the continuation of excavations in 1910-1911 at Phylakopi on the island of Melos previously conducted by the British School at Athens from 1896-1899. The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Phylakopi Pottery: Vase fragments: imported imitations of LMII BSA xvii pl. XIV". |
Notes | The mainland pottery sequences were not established at the time of Phylakopi Excavations. 'M' could stand for Mycenaean and be applied to both Cretan Minoan and Mainland Helladic pottery. |
