The number 197 is written on the border of the negative, then struck out. Date is based on data in the BSA Corporate Records - Excavation Reports for Sparta 1906, 1924-27, 1950, 1954 - Sparta Negatives for 1906 (1-18; 199-207) Negatives for 1907 (101-198). However, the caption in BSA Excavation Reports for this number, "fragments of black glazed pots with incised lines", does not match the SPHS register caption. |
