The original description in the SPHS register reads: "BSA Exhibition. N.590 Byzantine Icon. SS Basil, Chrysostom, Gregory. 17th century". |
Notes | Date is the year listed in the description of the image in the SPHS register. The image was created in the gallery space of the 1936 Exhibition of Minoan Civilization and the first 50 years work of the BSA at Burlington House in London. The object is now in the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; acquisition number 1981-4, purchased from Charles Seltman in 1948. |
