"Damophon G.Dickens" is written in ink in the lower right corner; above this is written in faint pencil " can't find [...] BSA or JHS." The original description in the catalogue reads: "Reconstruction of the group by Damophon at Lykosoura... Four fragments of sculpture from Lykosoura, already known in 1906. a. Head of the giant Anytos. b. Head of Demeter. c. Head of Artemis. d. Part of the embroidered veil of Despoina." |
