| Notes | Latest date based on the 1911 SPHS slide catalogue. Mr. Noel Heaton sent a report to the SPHS on Knossos in 1912 - JHS 33 (1913) liv. Although the 1911 slide catalogue refers to Burrows, Discoveries in Crete (R. M. Burrows, 1907. The Discoveries in Crete and Their Bearing on the History of Ancient Civilisation. London: J. Murray), Heaton's image does not match exactly. It is clear, however, that Heaton must have got the image from a publication or photograph. |
